I was not sure I like electronic paper screen, or I could get wireless so I bought a used, for example, a new Kindle 2 test several months ago. I’m just from the edge of the lid, but the synchronization and the download function works well, but not in 60 seconds. I am deeply impressed and I think that many electronic paper technology business applications, which are anxious to see what Qualcomm has launched the next. I finished the physical shelves and shelves are about three new books on my Kindle yet – it’s fantastic!
PC applications is a plus. Now I can do manual work on my book, without a network to bring anything with me anymore, and do not forget the house of hope. I had to watch the old beta version that works with Linux (Ubuntu + wine). It would be nice if Amazon will support Linux on the download page, which combines the beta before it disappears.
If the wireless did not work for me, so I would not mind transferring Kindle books to your computer. This is the next step, but not deal-killer if you are out of reach, IMO. This is how I bought the book before I realized that I needed to find time wireless more.
I had four stars because there is no file system. I’d like to see a user-defined folders on screen, rather than a list of all books of the device. I hope that this opportunity will be available as free software update, rather than third-turn

I received my Kindle-2 Friday night upon getting home from work, and I’ve been more excited about this gift than any other I’ve received in years. As a voracious reader since 1956, this is a dream come true. I can have all the reading material I want with me all the time. I’m sure that as time goes by there will continue to be ever nicer features added, and an expanded capacity for all Kindles, but that takes nothing away from the fact that this little piece of technology is truly a gem. The display is clear as it can be, with excellent contrast; it’s size is convienent, the controls are fairly intuitive, and the ability to shop for content from the device itself is possibly one of the nicest things about it. Even someone who doesn’t like computers can use this thing and shop for new reading material without ever going near a computer. About the only thing that isn’t absolutely 5-star about the Kindle is the fact that it would be easy to drop. That is the one thing I intend to remedy ASAP. There is a silicon-rubber sleeve available for just under $4.00 which will address the problem very well. If you are in a quandry for a gift to buy for someone, this is something a reader will love, and appreciate for a very long time. I can very comfortably recommend the Kindle to anyone who is enamored of the printed word. If you get a Kindle for someone you WILL be scoring points for good gift giving. If you get a Kindle you will definitely love it. Kindle is a great gift to give or receive; I hope you will find out for yourself

Fantastic!
I love gadgets but this was so special for me that I use it every time I have the chance. The global wireless and the integrated dictionary makes its use so…pleasurable! It is so light and the display has the right size. The availability of books is so good that I have been able to find books…in Spanish!

Amazing Product – Other eBook Readers (except maybe the iPad) don’t come close
This was a gift from me to my sister (who loves reading), generally eats up books with multiple hundred pages in a few hours. And guess what, she absolutely loved it. I downloaded about 15-17 books on the Kindle that she can read and she was happy with it. The operation of the Kindle itself is quite easy and user-friendly. The books downloaded pretty quickly onto the Kindle once I added bought them on my Amazon account. I actually took this Kindle to India, which is where my sister lives and the download and everything seems to work just fine over there as well. Although in India the download speeds are EDGE versus 3G speeds over here, the difference is barely anything considering these downloads are quite small. Amazon has a pretty huge collection of books, which is one of the most important considerations that would sway any user more towards the Kindle than any other eBook reader. A must-have for any hard-core book reader.

I just got off the phone with the kindle rep for trouble shooting for problems. My kindle was still under manfactory warrenty and after trying a couple of fixs, which didnt work, he stated he was sending me a new one. What!! in this day and time. Most electronics would have given me a two week, 13 step on how to return the device, and to see if it was my fault or under the warrenty. right. I will have a new kindle before I even send the old one in. great! Hey I love my kindle and I love their support. Gary

Best thing I’ve ever owned.
I absolutely love my Kindle, so does my wife as our house is no longer cluttered with books! I live in a small town that is 35 miles from the nearest book store. It’s great to be able to get nearly any book I want without having to leave home. I’ve found the Kindle to be very easy to use, and am really impressed by the long battery life.
I only have one minor complaint. I think it’s great that Amazon gives me recommendations, but I find that I already own most of them. Isn’t there a way for them to not recommend to me books that I have already downloaded?
