Should I wait to get a better ereader, or at least until the prices drop?
I’ve been thinking about getting an ereader (not the kindle, ether the Sony touch edition or the Nook). Thing is they’re kind of expensive. I’m willing to pay full price, but I think there may be a better reader around the corner, or a price drop.
It can be a long wait for new models and better price, because the manufacturers have already pushed the models and drop the prices before the peak session since Halloween.
I own the Kindle 2. If you ask me to choose again now, I’ll still go for the Kindle instead of the Nook or Sony Reader, because I think the web browsing function is rather important (the Nook does not have a web browser). The free internet (and now it is free international internet) plus the web browser allow me to look for information whenever I’m in need. It is really a cool feature that cannot be missed. And right now it is free for both the U.S. and many other countries, it is just incredible when you bring it to trip.
I like to use the text-to-speech function on the Kindle too, meaning that I can “read” with my hands and eyes free…

Sony Reader isn’t a good choice in my opinion, because it is quite difficult to find books for the device. Books on it are more expensive too, compared to the Amazon Kindle.
