i’m debating buying one of these… i love reading, and the new one you can switch to audio when in the car. if you could help me with the following questions, it’d be greatly appreciated:
1) is it worth it/ reviews?
2) do i have to pay monthly?
3) do i have to pay separately for the books?
4) can i add textbooks (from school) to it?

1) Yes, I love my Kindle 2! I’ve given another answer on the beneifts and how to get best from the Kindle, see if it helps:
2) No, unless you get into some subscriptions of newspapers / magazines like those in the link below. But actually Kindle version is much cheaper than the paper version.
3) Yes. However, it has actually saved me quite a lot of money in buying books, because Kindle books are cheaper than actual books. There are also some free and very cheap books found in the links below:

4) Yes, I’ve got several textbooks on my Kindle and it saves me some heavy weights. You’ll not be able to find every textbook there though, but I expect more and more textbooks can be found on the Kindle. There is a good video about textbook on Kindle DX here:
And if you’re choosing between Kindle DX and Kindle 2, guess this review will help. With more budget you can definitely go for the Kindle DX, but for me I feel great with the Kindle 2 already
